Study

In Great Britain the duration of bachelor courses is 3 years (6 semesters) plus 1 year of practical experience. The practice should be finished before the last year of the course.

Te agreement between the University of Central Lancashire and the UDA includes that degree holders of the “Höheren Abteilung EDV und Organisation“ (see Einstiegsmöglichkeiten) only need to attend the last (third) year of university (self-evident the practical experience of 1 year is already finished).

This last year is offered in Austria (Vienna and/or Leonding) in the evenings beside professional life in 2 alternatives:

• Full Time Mode: 1 year, 4-5 evenings every week
• Part Time Mode: 2 years, 2-3 evenings every week

In case of Part-Time-Mode the practical experience is to be proven at the beginning of the 2nd year.

The course „Computer Studies“ ends with the graduation to a Bachelor (Hons) of Science (Computer Studies). This qualifies the degree holder to follow up with

• studying for a master’s degree
• studying for a doctor’s degree (assumed a specific grade point average)
